Description of Research
My research focuses on the epidemiology of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus ( MRSA) transmission in critical care settings. I am investigating patient to patient transmission of MRSA indirectly through healthcare worker-patient interactions.The ultimate goal of my research is to show the importance of barrier precautions and determine the healthcare worker activities that may not require contact precautions.
