Description of Research

My research interests center around how individuals cope with adversity particularly in relation to gender and racial/ethnic discrimination. In addition,  I am interested in how traumatic experiences such as discrimination and sexual violence impact functioning. My dissertation centers around sexual revictimization and its relation to depression among Black women with an exploration of how sense of control and educational attainment moderate this relation.
