Description of Research
Most advanced prostate cancer can be treated with androgen deprivation therapy. Unfortunately, a majority of patients eventually develop castration resistant prostate cancer. My project is to study survival molecules that play an important role during androgen deprivation and in drug resistant prostate cancer. In addition, we want to identify inhibitors of these molecules that can be used in combination with androgen deprivation therapy.
