Description of Research
I’m working on a series of carboxylated naphthalimides or NDIs as precursors for photoinitiation of carbon-centered radicals. I’ll be taking a fundamental approach in studying these materials to determine the elementary rate constants for each step in the production of and the reaction with the carbon-centered radical. This research can lead to new photochemical tools for radical initiators and covalent tagging.
