Where My People At?: Multicultural Engagement at UMBC

  • Where my people at? is a three-part mini-series. These sessions provide first-year students and new transfers an opportunity to learn more about life at UMBC as a student of color or those who are interested in getting involved with our cultural student organizations. Hear from our Diversity and Inclusion staff, current student organization leaders, staff and faculty advisors, and recent alums about multicultural engagement at UMBC.Join us to make new connections, join a new group, meet student leaders, learn about campus resources including the Mosaic, and see what this community can offer you! This session will also show you how to find the Mosaic once you visit our campus, as well as a brief overview of our core programs. For more information, please contact mosaic@umbc.edu. For our uploaded event recordings, attendee lists, works cited, and other materials, please check out our Mosaic, Interfaith, and Pride Centers Events Folder. Materials will be available in this Google Drive within one business week after the event unless otherwise specified.

Tall Hall for Staff - Leave Options

  • Join us for a special Town Hall co-hosted by the Professional Staff Senate, Non-Exempt Staff Senate, and UMBC HR to discuss leave options for staff as we prepare for the Fall semester. RSVP to this myUMBC event if you plan to attend. Please also fill out this survey in advance to help guide our conversation with HR. If we address any of your questions or concerns during the event, we will do so anonymously. However, if you want someone to follow-up with you off the air, please put your name/email in the optional fields on the survey. At the time of the Town Hall, you can sign in here or via the link below. 

Book Store Back to School Sale

Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 | All Day | Online

The Bookstore will not have in-store shopping for the Fall 2020 semester. We are offering online shopping with several ways to receive your items. 1. Direct shipping 2. Curbside pick up. We have four parking spots with signage in the Commons Garage. Curbside will be offered Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Please note that curbside will not be available Aug 21st - Sept 11) 3. In-store pick up Beginning Aug 24th, we will offer in-store pick ups for online orders, Monday – Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Sept 11th. ****For both curbside and in-store pickup, please make sure you receive your order confirmation prior to arrival.****May not be combined with any other promotion running.
